During an earnings call, Samsung's System LSI division confirmed that the Exynos 2500 chip is currently under development and is scheduled for release in the second half of 2025. This advanced chip will debut in Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 foldable smartphones. Unlike its predecessor, the Exynos 2400, which featured a 1+2+3+4 CPU cluster configuration, the Exynos 2500 boasts a 1+2+2+5 setup, heralding notable enhancements in both performance and energy efficiency. However, it is anticipated that the overall performance of the Exynos 2500 will not rival that of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.

Regarding the deployment of the Exynos 2500, there is currently ambiguity as to whether all variants of these smartphones will be equipped with this chip or if specific markets will continue to utilize Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. As the launch date draws nearer, more details about Samsung's foldable smartphones and the Exynos 2500 chip are expected to be unveiled.
