NVIDIA's forthcoming RTX 5090 and 5080 graphics cards are in limited supply, making it challenging to procure standard editions at prices equivalent to the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Historically, hardware partners (AICs) have offered both standard and premium custom editions. However, the astronomical cost of GDDR7 memory for the RTX 50 series graphics cards, which NVIDIA has passed on to AICs, has squeezed profit margins to the point of unprofitability. Consequently, only high-end luxury or overclocked editions are now available in the market. This development has further strained the market, intensifying the difficulty for consumers to acquire their desired graphics cards at their original price points.
