On December 31, 2024, the State Administration for Market Regulation, in conjunction with the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China, issued the 32nd National Standard Announcement, formally approving the national standard GB/T 44935-2024 titled "Nanotechnologies - Layer Number Measurement of Molybdenum Disulfide Sheets - Raman Spectroscopy Method." This standard, drafted by the Institute of Semiconductors of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, will come into effect on July 1, 2025. The standard offers three distinct and verifiable methods, leveraging Raman spectroscopy, for determining the layer count of molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) sheets. This provides a crucial scientific foundation and testing methodologies for the production, preparation of MoS2 sheets, and the development of related products.
