MSI has proudly announced the release of MSI Afterburner version 4.6.6 Beta5, marking a significant leap forward with its support for NVIDIA's RTX 50 series GPUs. This latest iteration introduces a four-fan control feature tailored for non-reference GPUs, along with refinements to the software interface. Notably, it embraces the Windows 11 dark theme as the default, complemented by a fresh skin conceptualized by Drerex, which also accommodates four-fan control. Furthermore, MSI Afterburner 4.6.6 Beta5 extends voltage control support to budget-friendly RTX 40 series models.

In terms of software architecture, the new version streamlines the CPU information database format, ensuring a smoother and more efficient user experience. Additionally, the HwInfo.dll plugin has been updated to automatically generate newer versions, demonstrating a commitment to keeping the software current and compatible. The RivaTuner Statistics Server has also been upgraded to v7.3.7 Beta 5, underscoring MSI's dedication to enhancing performance metrics.

However, it's important to note that due to the current limitation in NVIDIA drivers for RTX 50 series GPUs, which lacks support for the VBlank counter monitoring API, certain features in MSI Afterburner may be restricted. Nonetheless, this release underscores MSI's relentless pursuit of innovation and optimization in the realm of GPU overclocking and monitoring software.
