The economic performance of Hubei Province for 2024 has been unveiled, revealing a vigorous uptrend in industrial production, with high-tech manufacturing emerging as the primary growth driver. The added value of industrial enterprises exceeding a specified size saw an annual increase of 7.7%. Within this sector, notable gains were observed in the computer communication (24.3%), electrical (18.2%), chemical (13.3%), non-ferrous metals (18.8%), and pharmaceutical (10.7%) industries. High-tech manufacturing stood out with a 22.7% surge in added value, outpacing the growth rate of larger industrial enterprises by a substantial 15 percentage points. Furthermore, production figures for smartphones, electronic components, integrated circuit wafers, and lithium-ion batteries recorded impressive growth rates of 66.5%, 52.8%, 18.3%, and 50.5%, respectively.
