LG Display has announced an operating profit of KRW 83.11 billion for the fourth quarter, marking a 37% year-on-year decline and falling notably short of analysts' average estimate of KRW 207.13 billion. The company suffered a net loss of KRW 917.76 billion during the quarter, substantially exceeding the anticipated loss of KRW 32.63 billion and standing in stark contrast to the KRW 58.19 billion profit reported in the corresponding period last year. Despite achieving sales of KRW 7.83 trillion, a 5.9% increase from the previous year and exceeding the projected KRW 7.63 trillion, profits declined markedly.
