Cambrian Neuronics, a leading domestic AI chip developer, finds itself embroiled in a legal battle with its former Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Liang Jun. The dispute revolves around equity transfers, with the company demanding that Liang Jun transfer his 11.52 million shares at a significantly reduced price. This case is set to be heard at the Haidian Court on January 23.

In a counter-move, Liang Jun has initiated a labor dispute lawsuit against Cambrian Neuronics, seeking compensation for alleged losses in equity incentives totaling RMB 4.287 billion. Prior to joining Cambrian Neuronics in 2017, Liang Jun had a distinguished 17-year career at Huawei, where he specialized in AI chip technology and product development. However, disagreements led to his departure from Cambrian Neuronics in March 2022.

Interestingly, Cambrian Neuronics' share price has been on a bullish run recently, surging by 404% in 2024, pushing its market value to an impressive RMB 260.9 billion. This remarkable growth adds another layer of complexity to the ongoing legal dispute.
