On the early morning of January 21, 2025, a powerful 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck Tainan City, Taiwan. Subsequently, a fire ignited at a printing factory in Chiayi City, accompanied by suspected gas leakage, which was promptly addressed by local firefighters. TSMC reported that several factories situated within the Taichung and Tainan Science Parks met the criteria for evacuation due to the earthquake, and immediate personnel evacuation was executed in accordance with established emergency response protocols. Fortunately, there have been no reported casualties to date.
