On January 21, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) announced the commencement of a review into IBM's acquisition of software company HashiCorp. The ACCC has requested that all relevant parties submit materials pertaining to the proposed acquisition by 5 PM on February 4, 2025. Last April, IBM disclosed its plans to acquire HashiCorp for a cash consideration of $35 per share, amounting to a total transaction value of $6.4 billion.
