By the close of 2024, the cumulative installed capacity of new energy sources in the provinces and regions of Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou, and Hainan had surpassed the milestone of 190 million kilowatts (kW), marking a new record high. This achievement was bolstered by an additional 59.32 million kW of installed capacity. Notably, the installed capacities for photovoltaic power generation and wind power witnessed substantial growth, contributing to a 36% year-on-year increase in annual new energy generation.
