The United Arab Emirates-based energy company Masdar has announced that Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL) has been selected as the preferred supplier for battery energy storage systems for its groundbreaking Real-Time Control (RTC) project. The RTC project stands as the world's largest integrated solar and battery energy storage system, boasting a total investment exceeding US$6 billion. It encompasses an impressive 19GWh of battery energy storage capacity and 5.2GW of photovoltaic power generation capacity.
