This week, the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) of the U.S. Department of Commerce unveiled two significant regulatory updates. Firstly, it tightened export controls on advanced computing semiconductors, explicitly stating that logic integrated circuits manufactured using 16nm/14nm and smaller nodes, or featuring non-planar transistor architectures, would be subject to stringent export regulations. Secondly, the BIS added a total of 16 entities from China and Singapore to the Entity List. Furthermore, the United States will intensify scrutiny on foundries to prevent the diversion of related technology products to China. These measures are designed to curtail China's access to high-end chips and uphold U.S. national security interests.

In response to these developments, NVIDIA has issued a statement, affirming that these restrictions will not affect its business operations or product sales in China. The company remains confident in its ability to navigate the evolving global trade landscape and continue serving its customers worldwide.
