On January 14, U.S. stock market indexes closed with a mixed bag of performances. The Nasdaq Composite dipped slightly by 0.23%, while the S&P 500 edged up 0.11%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 0.52%. Large technology stocks generally took a hit, with Meta plummeting over 2%, and Tesla, NVIDIA, and Netflix shedding more than 1% each. Google, Apple, Amazon, and Microsoft all witnessed modest declines. Conversely, popular Chinese stocks listed in the U.S. generally trended upwards, with XPeng Motors and Tiger Securities surging more than 6%, JD.com climbing over 4%, Weibo, Bilibili, and Futu Holdings increasing by more than 3%, Li Auto, MINISO, and Pinduoduo gaining over 2%, and NetEase, Baidu, and Alibaba rising by more than 1%. NIO, however, registered a modest gain of 0.49%.
