The World Economic Forum, in collaboration with McKinsey & Company, has announced the selection of 189 'Lighthouse Factories' across the globe, celebrating pioneers in manufacturing digital transformation. This round sees the addition of 17 new factories, six of which hail from China: Agilent Technologies, Beijing Shougang Cold Rolled Sheet, Haitian Flavoring, Guizhou Tyre, United Microelectronics Corporation, and Valeo. Midea Group's Chongqing factory has been honored with the 'End-to-End Lighthouse' distinction, while Schneider Electric's Wuxi factory received the 'Sustainable Lighthouse' award. Furthermore, CITIC Dicastal's factory in Morocco has become the first African representative in this prestigious list. These factories exemplify the cutting-edge achievements in digital manufacturing transformation, offering invaluable insights and inspiration to the global manufacturing sector.
