The European Commission is reassessing its probes into tech giants Apple, Meta, and Google, amid calls from these companies for the incoming U.S. President, Donald Trump, to intervene and contest the EU's regulatory oversight. Sources indicate that this review might result in the EU scaling back or altering the scope of its investigations, encompassing all cases initiated since the implementation of the EU's Digital Markets Act in March 2021. During this reassessment phase, all decisions and potential fines will be temporarily suspended, while the technical work on the cases will proceed as usual.
