U.S. Government to Allocate Up to $53 Million in Direct Funding to HP

On January 13, the United States government announced that it will grant up to $53 million in funding to HP's HPI Federal division to facilitate the expansion and modernization of HP's facility located in Corvallis, Oregon. This significant investment is anticipated to generate over 250 new jobs and is aimed at bolstering domestic chip manufacturing capabilities within the United States. The funding is made available through the Commercial Manufacturing Facility Financing Opportunity, a provision of the CHIPS Act.
