Institution: Material Costs See Modest Rebound, Anticipating Cell Price Stabilization in Q1
2025-01-13

TrendForce's latest survey reveals that following an extended period of decline, the prices of power and energy storage cells in China exhibited notable convergence during the fourth quarter of 2024. With the anticipated surge in global demand for electric vehicles and energy storage systems in 2025, suppliers aim to mitigate losses by raising prices. This anticipated price hike is expected to prop up the prices of battery raw materials, including lithium iron phosphate, lithium foil, and electrolyte, in the first quarter of 2025, ultimately stabilizing the average price of cells.
