Recently, Chinese overclocker wytiwx has shattered the global CPU frequency record by successfully pushing the Intel i9-14900KF processor to an astonishing 9.12GHz. Joining the elite ranks of overclockers, wytiwx now stands alongside Elmor as one of only two individuals to surpass the 9GHz barrier. The i9-14900KF, boasting 24 cores and 32 threads with a base boost frequency of 6GHz, was meticulously tuned for this feat.
During the overclocking process, wytiwx disabled all E-cores and hyper-threading functions, employing an ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Apex motherboard paired with 16GB of DDR5 memory. The overclock was executed on a Windows 7 operating system, requiring a core voltage of 1.387V. Given the extreme nature of this achievement, it is likely that liquid nitrogen or helium cooling was utilized to manage the intense thermal demands.
