TDK Corporation, a pioneering Japanese manufacturer of electronic components, has triumphantly introduced a new lithium-ion battery that boasts a remarkable 15% increase in charging capacity over existing models. The company intends to commence mass production of this innovative battery by summer 2025. At the heart of this advancement lies the use of silicon material as the anode, a departure from traditional graphite, which significantly amplifies the battery's energy storage capabilities. Additionally, TDK has ambitious plans to expand its factory in India by 2025, aiming to further augment production capacity and develop an even more advanced battery with a 40% boost in energy storage by March 2027.
