NVIDIA made waves at CES by unveiling the RTX 5080 Laptop GPU, and now, the initial benchmark scores have surfaced, albeit focusing on non-gaming benchmarks. According to international media reports, Dell's Alienware subsidiary showcased their latest laptop, the Alienware 18 Area-51, which boasts the RTX 50 series GPU paired with Intel's Ultra 200HX processor. This formidable combination was put to the test on Geekbench using an OpenCL benchmark. The results are impressive: the RTX 5080 Laptop version scored a remarkable 190,326 in the OpenCL performance test, surpassing the RTX 4090 Laptop version by approximately 6%, signifying a notable performance leap. This milestone suggests that the RTX 5080 will offer users a more efficient and powerful experience.
