Lin Junxiong, the founder, chairman, and CEO of Silicon Integration Initiative, elaborated on the evolution of domestic EDA development, which has traversed a journey from nascent beginnings to rapid expansion. Prior to 2018, the domestic EDA industry was in its infancy, characterized by predominantly point tools and limited financial and technical prowess. Nevertheless, the heightened focus on the semiconductor industry by the government, coupled with a vibrant capital market, has ushered in unprecedented growth opportunities for the EDA sector. Between 2018 and 2023, the domestic EDA industry witnessed a surge in momentum, albeit amidst intense competition and various challenges.
