On November 6, the Taiwan Weighted Index closed down 4.51% at 39,701.64 points, rebounding noticeably from its intraday low and holding above the annual line. The market believes that forced liquidation pressure from margin financing has largely been released. Coupled with the local government stepping forward to stabilize market confidence and stating that market-stabilizing measures may be introduced later, the stock market was able to rebound. Earlier, Asian stock markets broadly declined on Friday after being hit by a new round of chip stock selling, with Taiwan stocks falling to a more than six-month low. At the close, among constituent stocks, 112 rose and 1,049 fell. Heavyweight stock TSMC fell 4.69%, ASE Technology Holding fell 7.86%, Delta Electronics fell 6.63%, Hon Hai fell 4.46%, and MediaTek fell 2.02%.
