The Hang Seng Index declined 1.06% at the midday break, while the Hang Seng Tech Index dropped 1.75%. Semiconductor, GEO, and CPO stocks led the losses: Cambridge Technology plunged over 10%; Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable and Montage Technology each fell more than 9%; Zhipu, MINIMAX-W, and GigaDevice slid over 8%; and Zhongji Innolight tumbled more than 7%. By contrast, the coal and petrochemical sectors posted the biggest gains, with Shandong Molong up over 2% and China Shenhua up more than 1%. Southbound funds recorded a net inflow of HK$2.17 billion.
