The three major A-share indices ended the morning session with mixed results: the Shanghai Composite Index dipped 0.1%, the Shenzhen Component Index edged up 0.14%, and the ChiNext Index gained 0.1%. The semiconductor, biotechnology, and cultural media sectors outperformed, with CITIC Press surging over 15%, Fortior Technology climbing more than 9%, and WuXi AppTec rising over 4%. Meanwhile, the real estate, leisure goods, and chemical fiber sectors lagged, as Seazen Holdings and Hengyi Petrochemical each fell over 4%, and Shifeng Culture dropped more than 3%.
