The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) issued a federal notice on Monday formally terminating the patent infringement investigation into DRAM devices involving Samsung Electronics and several U.S. technology companies. The investigation, launched in July, stemmed from a complaint filed by Netlist alleging that certain memory products infringed on its patent rights. Other respondents included Google, Nvidia, Broadcom, and Supermicro. According to the notice, Netlist and Samsung (including two U.S. subsidiaries) jointly requested termination of the investigation on August 18 based on a settlement agreement.
