The Hang Seng Index opened 0.03% higher, while the Hang Seng Tech Index rose 0.55%. The semiconductor and hardware equipment sectors led the gains, with Fourier surging over 11% and GigaDevice and Cambridge Technology both up more than 3%. Meanwhile, the medical equipment and non-ferrous metals sectors led the declines, with Lingbao Gold falling over 4% and Chifeng Gold down more than 2%.
