At a regular press conference on October 30, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun responded to a question from an AFP reporter regarding a New York Times exclusive report published the previous day. The report claimed that a Chinese female executive has close ties with NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang and that U.S. intelligence agencies had identified the woman as a Chinese intelligence officer. When asked whether China was aware of the report and whether it had any comment, Guo Jiakun stated that the report in question is groundless and constitutes nothing but slander and smear against China.
