An optical frequency comb represents an innovative, comb-like multi-wavelength light source, distinguished by its uniform frequency spacing and highly coherent spectra. It has a wide range of applications in fields such as broadband coherent optical communication, precision spectroscopy, microwave photonics, and time-frequency standards. Among these, soliton microcombs, which are based on on-chip integrated microcavities, have emerged as a central research focus for next-generation photonic devices. This is largely due to their advantages of miniaturization, low noise, and high integration capabilities. Nevertheless, the excitation of traditional soliton microcombs typically depends on frequency-swept pumping of the microcavity using a narrow-linewidth laser. This process is vulnerable to the microcavity's thermo-optic effect, which can result in soliton annihilation and thereby limit the system's stability. Although the thermal compensation method, utilizing dual-wavelength narrow-linewidth laser pumping, can stably generate soliton microcombs, the high costs and intricate control requirements of the pumping system hinder its widespread adoption.
