According to industry sources cited by Taiwan's Economic Daily News, major clients such as Apple, NVIDIA, AMD, and Qualcomm have recently increased their orders for TSMC’s 2nm process capacity, with order volumes rising by 10% to 20%. TSMC is stepping up its capacity expansion efforts, with monthly production capacity projected to climb to 120,000 wafers by the end of 2026. This figure surpasses earlier market estimates, which had ranged from 90,000 to 100,000 wafers. TSMC’s 2nm process entered mass production in the fourth quarter of 2025, leveraging nanosheet transistor technology to substantially boost both performance and energy efficiency. Its derivative version, N2P, is set to commence mass production in the second half of 2026, with subsequent iterations like N2X and N2U to follow. Currently, TSMC’s 2nm process is gaining significant traction among customers, with over 20 clients having completed tape-out and more than 70 projects in the pipeline.
