Okayama Murata Manufacturing, a subsidiary of Murata Manufacturing—a global frontrunner in MLCC (Multilayer Ceramic Chip Capacitor) production—has announced plans to invest approximately 9 billion yen. This investment will be allocated towards the establishment of new production lines aimed at boosting the output of ceramic raw materials essential for electronic components, particularly MLCCs. Construction of these new lines is slated to begin in October 2026, with operations expected to commence in April 2028.
