Samsung Electronics' record-breaking profits were primarily driven by rising memory chip prices and sustained global investment in AI infrastructure. For the three months ending in September, its operating profit reached approximately KRW 107.4 trillion (USD 80.1 billion), more than eight times the figure from the same period last year and slightly below analysts' average forecast of KRW 108.7 trillion. Preliminary data released on Thursday showed quarterly revenue of KRW 195 trillion, falling short of expectations.
