Jack Huynh, Senior Vice President of AMD's Computing and Graphics Business Group, recently revealed to Korean media that the company plans to extend support for its FSR 4 super-resolution technology to APUs, gaming laptops, and handheld gaming PCs by the end of 2026. This means that the machine learning-based super-resolution technology, currently primarily aimed at discrete graphics cards, will be further applied to integrated graphics and low-power gaming devices. AMD will focus on both expanding support for existing APUs and introducing new APUs, specifically developing a dedicated version of FSR 4 technology optimized for APU characteristics to reduce image latency while delivering high-quality gaming visuals.
