As the demand for high-bandwidth memory in artificial intelligence data centers continues to grow, Samsung Electronics is accelerating the expansion of its next-generation HBM production capacity. It is reported that Samsung plans to at least double the output of its HBM4 series products by 2027, covering the sixth-generation high-bandwidth memory HBM4 and the subsequent HBM4E. Meanwhile, Samsung is also significantly enhancing its glass substrate processing capabilities required for HBM production, which the industry believes is in preparation for larger-scale, high-stack HBM production.
