Recently, during a television appearance, Jensen Huang, the CEO of NVIDIA, made a compelling case for companies to pay their employees as generously as possible. His statement comes at a time when chip industry titans are locked in fierce competition with their workforce over profit-sharing, especially amidst the booming AI infrastructure sector. Huang's conviction is rooted in NVIDIA's compensation philosophy; he personally oversees the remuneration packages for all 42,000 employees and ensures a continuous increase in payroll investments. He firmly believes that prioritizing employee welfare will lead to overall organizational success.

In the fiscal year 2026, the average income for an NVIDIA employee soared to $282,050. In contrast, Huang's total compensation for the year stood at $36.3 million, marking a significant decrease of around 27% from the previous year. Earlier in June of the same year, Huang echoed similar sentiments and addressed reports that Samsung Electronics' chip engineers had received an average bonus of approximately $400,000, further emphasizing the importance of competitive compensation in the tech industry.
