On September 21, the opening session of the Hong Kong stock market was rather subdued, with the Hang Seng Index experiencing a marginal decline of 0.01% and the Hang Seng Tech Index witnessing a 0.08% drop. Among individual stocks, GEO and tech shares were at the forefront of the downturn. Specifically, Zhipu's stock plummeted by over 3%, while MINIMAX-W and Lenovo Group saw their shares decline by more than 1%. Conversely, semiconductor and pharmaceutical stocks exhibited a relatively robust performance. Notably, WuXi AppTec and Joinn Laboratories surged by over 3%, and Montage Technology and GigaDevice climbed by more than 2%.
