On September 21, data released by South Korean customs on Monday revealed that, propelled by a remarkable upswing in chip sales, South Korea's export volume soared by 78.3% year-on-year from September 1 to 20. The total export volume reached a staggering USD 71.4 billion, setting a new record high for a 20-day period, with semiconductor shipments experiencing an astonishing surge of 259.4%. On an average workday basis, exports demonstrated robust growth of 89.8%. During the same timeframe, South Korea's imports also witnessed an increase of 26.7% year-on-year, and the preliminary trade balance reflected a surplus of USD 22.97 billion.
