On September 18, 2026 (Beijing Time), the U.S. stock market sustained its upward momentum after a higher open on Thursday. All three major indices—the Dow, the Nasdaq, and the S&P 500—advanced ahead of the closing bell, with a notable tilt toward growth stocks. By market close, the Dow had climbed 0.71%, the Nasdaq Composite Index rose 1.64%, and the S&P 500 Index gained 1.13%.

Tech stocks, in general, witnessed a broad-based rally. Nvidia's shares jumped 2.54%, while Amazon and Tesla both surged by more than 2%.
