On September 4, Phison CEO Pua Khein Seng revealed that during recent discussions with two Flash manufacturers, both indicated that 'the supply gap for next year is difficult to estimate.' This reflects the ongoing tightness in NAND Flash supply, with the market no longer needing to debate whether there will be a shortage. The key lies in who can secure more resources during periods of supply-demand tension, which will determine the future competitiveness of enterprises. Pua also pointed out that AI-driven semiconductor demand is just in its infancy. Judging from TSMC's continuous expansion of AI-related production capacity, increased shipments of AI chips will simultaneously drive growth in DRAM and Flash usage. In the future, AI's consumption of semiconductor capacity may continue for two to three decades, and there will not be an oversupply in the short term due to expansions by memory manufacturers.
