Moore Threads Unveils 'Lushan' GPU Featuring Ray Tracing and AI Rendering, Set for Launch by Late 2026

Recently, during its semi-annual performance briefing, Moore Threads made a significant announcement regarding a technological leap in graphics processing. The company introduced its 'Lushan' high-performance graphics rendering chip, which is built upon the innovative 'Huagang' architecture. This new chip is anticipated to bring about a substantial boost in rendering efficiency for 3A games, as well as enhance AI computing and ray tracing performance by 15-fold, 64-fold, and 50-fold, respectively.

Equipped with a hardware-level ray tracing acceleration engine that supports the DXR standard, the 'Lushan' chip is poised to deliver, for the first time in domestic GPUs, realistic real-time lighting and shadow effects rendered at the hardware level. Additionally, Moore Threads unveiled its proprietary MTAGR 1.0 technology, setting a new benchmark for AI generative rendering. This technology not only reduces computational resource consumption but also offers domestic technological solutions applicable across various fields.

At present, the 'Lushan' chip has successfully undergone key technology verification and is slated for market introduction by the end of 2026. Meanwhile, Moore Threads continues to refine its performance and adapt its ecosystem. Furthermore, the company showcased a range of complementary technologies based on the 'Huagang' architecture, with the goal of establishing a comprehensive domestic graphics processing ecosystem.
