On September 4, South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy stated that four American companies would invest US$2 billion in South Korea's semiconductor materials, equipment, advanced materials for displays, and offshore wind power sectors. Among them, Air Products will expand its semiconductor gas supply facilities in Pyeongtaek; Axcelis will expand its production facilities in South Korea; Corning will enhance its manufacturing capabilities and expand its business in South Korea; Pacifico Energy will launch a 3.2GW offshore wind power project in Gwangju.
