Dong Boyu, the President of NAURA, pointed out that prior to 2025, the domestic semiconductor industry was heavily reliant on established paths, resulting in sluggish equipment updates. However, since 2026, wafer fabrication clients have started to proactively engage in joint research with NAURA, fostering collaborative innovation. Both sides have refocused on the core technological principles, working together to deliberate and shape the development of semiconductor equipment. This marks a shift from merely benchmarking parameters to designing comprehensive solutions, with a significant rise in the share of forward-looking product technology designs.
