At the Hot Chips 2026 conference, Intel revealed details of its new-generation accelerator card codenamed "Crescent Island." The accelerator card, based on the Xe3P architecture, is designed for PCs, workstations, and edge deployment scenarios in data centers, focusing on high-speed artificial intelligence inference. It comes as a 350W air-cooled PCIe expansion card, featuring up to 480GB of LPDDR5X memory, supporting full-precision computing from FP4 to FP64, and natively compatible with mainstream AI inference frameworks to reduce enterprise adaptation costs.
