On August 24, a consumer reported on a social media platform that the “SK Hynix flagship store” on Taobao Tmall had abruptly announced its intention to cease operations. This has sparked concerns among customers that the after-sales warranty for purchased memory modules may no longer be guaranteed. The store’s homepage currently displays plans for a voluntary closure on September 9, 2026, and all products have already been removed. At present, the store cannot be directly located through a search on the Taobao platform. Upon inquiring about the after-sales policies at other SK Hynix storage device distributors, the response was that each store operates independently and is solely responsible for its own after-sales service. It is worth noting that SK Hynix is a South Korean semiconductor manufacturer that primarily produces memory semiconductors, including DRAM, NAND Flash, MCP (Multi-Chip Package), and other related products. The company boasts four production bases, located in Icheon and Cheongju, South Korea, as well as Wuxi and Chongqing, China. Additionally, it maintains sales and R&D facilities across 16 countries and regions worldwide.
