On the evening of August 24, Western Materials unveiled its semi-annual report for 2026, disclosing that the well-known investor Zhang Jianping had been removed from the list of its top ten shareholders. The first-quarter report for this year had revealed Zhang Jianping's emergence as the fourth-largest shareholder, holding 9.8494 million shares, which constituted 2.02% of the total share capital. However, his tenure lasted merely a quarter before he exited. According to the semi-annual report, Western Materials reported revenue of 1.364 billion yuan in the first half of the year, marking an 11.39% year-on-year decline. The net profit attributable to shareholders amounted to 44.791 million yuan, down 26.77% year-on-year, while the net profit after deducting non-recurring items stood at 29.0033 million yuan, a 39.53% year-on-year decrease. The primary reason for the company's revenue decline was a reduction in income from titanium products.
