In the competition with Intel, AMD has achieved a milestone. The latest data from Mercury Research shows that in the second quarter of 2025, AMD's market share in x86 client processors (including desktops and notebooks) exceeded 30% for the first time, reaching 30.3%, while Intel's share was 69.7%. Compared to the first quarter, AMD saw a sequential increase of 0.7 percentage points; compared to the same period in 2025, it experienced a year-over-year increase of 6.4 percentage points. This growth was driven by dual improvements in desktop and mobile processors.
