On August 21, the A-share market concluded its midday trading session with a collective upswing across all three primary indices. The Shanghai Composite Index registered a modest increase, while the Shenzhen Component Index advanced by 0.63%, and the ChiNext Index surged by 1.21%. In sector-specific movements, the lithium battery concept emerged as the frontrunner, propelling Rongjie shares to hit the daily price limit. Notably, both Da Zhong Mining and Shengxin Lithium Energy witnessed gains exceeding 6%. Computing power stocks also demonstrated strength, with StarNet RuiJie reaching the daily limit, New Yisheng climbing over 5%, and Cambrian ascending more than 3%. Conversely, the pharmaceutical and agricultural sectors experienced declines, with Harbin Sanlian and Menovo Pharmaceutical hitting the daily price limit downwards. Qiule Seed Industry and Shennong Seed Industry also suffered significant losses, both plummeting by more than 10%.
