In August, the previously buoyant growth expectations within the semiconductor sector underwent a notable adjustment. For the first time, profit forecasts for both Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix for the upcoming year were revised downwards. This development triggered a substantial decline in the share prices of these two industry giants. Now, market attention is firmly fixed on whether the recent sharp downturn in the semiconductor sector already incorporates expectations of a deceleration in future profit growth. During this same timeframe, the profit forecast for SK Hynix was slashed by 3 trillion won, dropping from 402 trillion won to 399 trillion won.
