The company aims to develop new 'P5 1 and 2 Factories', elevating the current 'two-story wafer fabrication plant' to a 'three-story wafer fabrication plant'. This strategic move is designed to keep pace with the global 'super cycle' trend in AI semiconductors and memory, ultimately boosting production capacity. However, for this revised plan to come into effect, it must secure approval from both the Governor of Gyeonggi Province and the Industrial Site Selection Policy Review Committee of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport.
