This adjustment marks a two-year delay compared to the original schedule and is roughly one year behind TSMC's planned mass production of the A14 process, which is set to commence in 2028. Previously, in 2022, Samsung Foundry had outlined its intentions to begin mass production of the 2nm process in 2025 and the 1.4nm process in 2027.
