On August 12, NXP Semiconductors held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new assembly and test factory in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. The new factory is expected to commence mass production in the first quarter of 2028. Once operational, the overall designed production capacity of the site will increase by over 100%, and the new factory will deploy automated material handling systems and advanced quality management systems.
